Robert Palley is an accomplished real estate developer based in Chicago, and a partner with Granite Realty Partners LLC. Since co-founding the company in 1998, Robert Palley has overseen the acquisition and development of properties valued at over $1 billion, including office buildings, retail centers, and industrial buildings. He is responsible for analyzing potential opportunities, organizing capital structure, and managing development.
In 1980 Robert Palley earned a BA in biology from Northwestern University, where he made the Dean’s List. He went on to complete an MBA in finance and management from the same institution, receiving the Service Corps of Retired Executives Small Business Consulting Award.
Robert Palley began his career as the director of finance at Levy Restaurants, a fast-growing private restaurant. He joined the real estate industry in 1985 with a position as project manager at Oliver T. Carr Company (now Carr America). As project manager, he completed the development and leasing of 600,000 square feet of Class A office space.
In 1988, Robert Palley joined The Levy Organization as a vice president. There, he completed the acquisition, financing, and development of over $200 million in commercial properties. In 1992, he moved to Jupiter Realty Corporation as vice president and principal. At the company, he managed the construction of more than 1 million square feet of retail space before co-founding Granite.
Robert Palley is a member of the Chicago Board of Realtors, Oak Park Country Club, and Oak Park Temple.
